Yogic Ojas Philosophy
Based on ancient yogic techniques, principles, and philosophy, we help our clients heal from the root of any and all health issues. These naturopathic teachings include the philosophy of the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita, Vedanta philosophy, Karmic philosophy, the Yoga Sutras, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, as well as esoteric knowledge of the Kashmiri Shaivism Lineage and Gnosticism of Christianity.
"If you want to find the secrets of the universe think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration."
- Nikola Tesla
The Spirituality
Within, where well-being begins.
We utilize the Tantric understanding of the chakras or "energetic centers" and the yogic nadis "energy channels" of the body to energetically heal our clients. The word Tantra is derived from the Sanskrit words “tan” meaning expansion, and “tra” meaning liberation”. In the West, Tantra is often associated with sexual spirituality but it is actually an internal energetic joining of the divine masculine and feminine. Tantra means "woven together" and "web of energy". In Tantra and general yoga, we understand that the chakras and the nadis exist like everything else in subtle form. Some of the nadis exist in physical form and are visible to us such as the nerves, veins, and arteries.
When we talk about subtle energy and subtle form we are referring to the subtle body. The subtle body is explained in-depth in the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita, it is quasi material in nature (physical and non-physical) and consists of prana, or vital life force energy. Just as electricity runs through our body we may not notice it. However, if we create friction with socks on a carpet, touching a door handle will create an electric shock showing us this truth. So is the subtle body and pranic energy, unless properly activated or observed through yogic techniques you will not notice it.
We understand that our thoughts are also subtle energy, they are quasi material and are able to be thought and felt. For example when you think of something you love you release oxytocin in your brain. Only the actual feeling of love comes from a warm sensation in the center of the chest. This is the Heart Chakra. When you're feeling happy dopamine is released in your brain. That feeling of happiness makes you feel bubbly or giggly all over, especially in the stomach. This is the Navel Chakra. Or when you think of something negative or scary you might shake your head or get a shiver down the spine. This comes from the concentration of your mind in the Third Eye and Crown Chakras as well as the Sushumna Nadi running through the spine. This shows us that even though thoughts are subtle they can physically manifest if given attention. Science understands that thoughts come from neural processes in the brain where neurons releasing chemicals create electrical signals leading to thought. However, if you physically look in someone's brain you won't see a thought in there. Everyone's brain and neural networks are unique, two brains may have similar neural networks but while one person was thinking of pineapple to eat the other was thinking of cheesecake.
Chakras are subtle energetic centers in the body that determine and balance our physical, mental, and emotional health. Depending on whether or not they are unblocked or balanced they can either create benefits or disturb the body, mind, and their functions. This has a lot to do with each chakra's electromagnetic field and frequency.
The yogic chakras are a science and they do physically relate to the body. Each chakra connects to the brain through cranial and symbiotic nerves in the spinal column. They energetically attach to what is known as the Sushumna Nadi, the central cord in the vertebral column. Sushumna Nadi is the channel through which the divine life force energy prana and shakti move. Each of these energies are subtle in form and can be felt physically by mechanoreceptors as they are influenced by our yogic practice. Mechanoreceptors are sensory neurons that are stimulated by forces such as pressure, movement (displacement or change), vibration, and tension.
Blockages and imbalances with the chakras can happen for a multitude of reasons. From being around someone with a bad temper to having toxins or nutritional imbalances in the body they are bound to manifest. When the chakras become imbalanced or are energetically blocked from connecting with the Sushumna Nadi, physical, mental or emotional issues manifest. This is alike electrical currents in your home. You wouldn't want to have an outlet that doesn't work due to the circuit breaker being tripped. Even more so you wouldn't want a downed powerline that gives energy to your house. This is exactly how these energy centers work. The direct current (prana) moves from the chakras through Sushumna Nadi connecting with our brain creating balanced harmony. This is how the subtle energies influenced by our energetic healing services can manifest beneficial physical, mental and emotional homeostasis.
The Science
To explain how our practice works we first have to discuss the subtle physics of the human body, the "Subtle Body". Any organism including the human body has an electromagnetic field or "emf" for short. Our human bodies are made up of atoms and every atom has its own electric field. Those atoms and electric fields when combined together create electric currents that oscillate waves of energy which in turn creates a magnetic effect or emf. Scientists classify those emf’s by their frequency or wavelength ranging from high to low (short to long wavelength). Emf’s can also be influenced by other emf’s causing a change in field or frequency. Knowing that our bodies are made of atoms we know that our own body as a whole has its own emf. When specific frequencies are introduced to the human body’s emf they can alter and shape its emf. Just as any force can be applied to any object there is always a reaction. If you drop a pebble into a still pond a rippling wave will form. Specific frequencies and their waveforms can and will influence the body’s electromagnetic field after they act upon it.
In quantum physics, there is a known phenomenon called quantum entanglement. Quantum entanglement as defined by wiki is a physical phenomenon that occurs when a group of particles are generated, interact, or share spatial proximity in a way such that the quantum state of each particle of the group cannot be described independently of the state of the others, including when the particles are separated by a large distance.
In a famous experiment called “The Double Slit Experiment” physicists found that little particles of matter have something of a wave about them and that the very act of observing them has a dramatic effect on their behavior. This is known as "The Observer Effect". The observer affects the observed reality.
This is exactly how our practice influences the electromagnetic field of a person's body. First, the practitioner uses an esoteric yogic technique to focus on the receiver's body. Then the practitioner will use their consciousness to interact with the receiver's body on the quantum level. The quantum processes of consciousness causes a tangible reaction by the receiver even at a large distance. The yogic observer affects the observed receiver. The scientific term for the biological phenomenon and reaction can be considered "gaze perception". Where the body and consciousness of the receiver reacts to the sensation of being observed. It is the same reason we as humans sometimes feel as if we have a 6th sense. For example when we feel like we have eyes that are looking at us while walking through a mall and look up to find that there actually are. After the yogic force is applied for a certain amount of time the receiver's body will react in a positive way. This is due to the electromagnetic field of the receiver's body becoming more vibrationally harmonious.
The Law of Vibration
The 2nd Universal Law
The law of vibration postulates that everything in existence is vibrating. In physics, we know that on the atomic scale, atoms have electrons that move around their nucleus causing vibration. Therefore everything in existence vibrates. From the atomic scale expanding up to the cosmic scale, everything is vibrating. These vibrations form sound waves which become frequencies. So whether it's an atom, an object, or even a conscious being, everything is making vibrations and sound. Therefore everything has a natural frequency/ pitch or set of frequencies at which they vibrate. This includes the subtle body and subtle (Astral) plane.
Frequency and reality
On the quantum level, when an extreme amount of energy is densely packed together in the right waveforms they become physical. Energy is first created and it then oscillates back and forth, up and down, or side to side creating a wave. When that energy is sped up in repetition the waves multiply on top of each other creating spheres of energy. This is quantum physics and quantum mechanics. This is the same way that reality and matter is formed. Rather, energy (vibrations) become so densely packed in a low-frequency waveform that, from the atomic level, they combine through hot and cold temperatures, and spherical patterns creating chemicals. Chemicals when also combined in an equation with the right frequencies and variable forces applied (spherical patterns, temperatures, pressures, etc.) create elements. These elements when applied through specific spherical (golden ratio) variables form different carbon life forms. Each carbon life form comes with its own frequencies, brain waves, etc., and that is reality as we see it. Consciousness however is more subtle than this physical reality. Our consciousness, which is actually seen spiritually as a gross aspect of our eternal energy, vibrates at a low enough resonance to be on the physical plane in the alchemical composition of a human brain/ body. The more we attune our brain waves through yoga, meditation, and the practice of purity (in thought, action, and reaction) the higher our consciousness vibrates. As our consciousness rises to reach the highest physical vibrations we become more and more subtle and return to our eternal form of energy becoming whole (Holy) and pure subtle energy, "Soul".
Frequency and the environment
Dialing it back a bit, even in regular physics, we are actually very aware of frequencies becoming tangibly felt. For instance, with music, you can physically feel base tones/ frequencies move through your body. This is because they are dense "heavy" low-vibrations. Such "heavy" low-vibrations in close proximity to the body will always be felt. With higher-pitched frequencies, however, there is not as much of a physical feeling yet you can still hear them even at large distances, such as the sirens of emergency vehicles, etc.
From diamonds to dirt to air molecules and snow. Everything is formed of frequencies with the right variables applied. Nature itself is extremely well composed and a natural environment that actually carries/ produces healing vibrations and tones. This is one of the reasons why being immersed in nature is de-stressing. This is also why natural products over man-made products are the most healthy for our bodies. This is due to the undisturbed, naturally (harmoniously) created, chemical structures that are the makeup of their physical composition. Naturally, they are meant to be used by us and our body easily absorbs them.
Mother Earth as a whole also has its own frequencies at which it resonates. These frequencies are known as Schumann Resonances. The Schumann Resonance fundamental or "frequency constant" of the earth is a lower pitch of 7.83Hz. This resonance is a part of the Earth's magnetic field. It permeates the entire earth and is a fundamental resonance to which every object and living being on earth is attuned. Changes in the Schumann Resonance can cause weather phenomena and seismic activity, it can even affect our brain waves and consciousness. Changes to the Schumann Resonances occur due to cosmic radiation like solar flares, etc. When the Schumann Resonance rises in vibration our brainwaves and emf also rise therefore our consciousness rises. If it falls, we fall. These shifts in brain waves cause us to become energetically ungrounded (mentally unstable) or, if well-practiced, more focused and meditative (Spiritual). We can utilize these opportunities to gain higher states of consciousness. So, if you know a solar flare is coming, meditate!
How frequencies affect us
Knowing that everything, including our bodies, has a frequency/ pitch or set of frequencies, we must also be aware that our bodies can become susceptible to other frequencies. These frequencies can affect our mental and physical health. Depending on what sound (frequency/ pitch) we are subject to, we can mentally or physically react positively or negatively. For example, the music and tones that Hollywood uses in movies. The influence of music in film creates an emotional response especially when added to specific visuals. This can bring us to tears or even make us happy. These types of physical and mental reactions to frequencies do affect us on the subtle plane and affect our chakras. The subtle body has different frequencies and vibrations at which it energetically resonates. Those subtle energetic centers at which the body resonates are the chakras. Certain frequencies can help to harmonize our chakras which in turn harmonizes our physical body and mind. Frequencies and vibrations can also de-harmonize our chakras. There are also certain frequencies we can use to help boost and harmonize our chakras positively called "Mantras". This is the reason meditation practices utilize the sacred mantra of Om. The Om mantra creates a frequency and vibration that energetically resonates with Sahasrara the crown chakra. When repeated (chanted) for a long period of time it can help to energetically balance it and open it. Again this is because the vibration fine-tunes that energy center. This results in clearer thought, mental stability, and higher consciousness.
Mantras
Not to be confused with positive affirmations. Mantras are actually sacred vibrations that when used create a pattern of frequencies and vibrations that attract specific energies. Some can be used to harmonize specific energies in and around the body, and some can be used to absorb specific energies. Mantras are not to be abused or misused. Be sure to use proper etiquette if deciding to use mantras that are not solely for harmonizing the body and mind.

Prana, Shakti and Astral Energy
Prana
Prana is the subtle life force energy permeating the universe known otherwise as Kundalini, Qi, or Ether. The Yoga Sutras, and the Upanishads describe this energy more in-depth and the practice of Pranayama (breathwork) to harness this energy. It exists in everything we see and everything we consume. It is vital life force energy that exists as a web connecting everything together. From the microcosms to the macrocosms. Everything is connected through this web of energy.
Shakti
Kundalini Shakti is known as the energy of the Divine Feminine, a dynamic force responsible for the act of creation, maintenance, and destruction in the universe. This energy is also described more in-depth in both the Yoga Sutras and the Upanishads. In Christianity, it is the Fire of the Pentecost that awakened and empowered the apostles. It is also the Snake raised by Moses. It is the most powerful creative force in the human body, it stays dormant at the base of the spine in the Muladhara chakra until awakened through specific yogic practices. Once awakened, Shakti becomes a powerful healing force that can give you physical and mental healing. It also can give you blissful sensations of the body. It is not recommended however that this energy be awakened without the help of a qualified spiritual practitioner, master, and or Guru. This is due to the energetic nature of this energy.
Astral Energy
Astral energy is energetically emotional in nature and comes from the Astral Plane. This subtle energy exists in relation to the subtle body described in-depth in the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita. The Astral Plane or Subtle Plane is a plane of existence that permeates our visible reality. It can be described as a layer or blanket over our reality in which our bodies are energetically connected. Scientifically it can be said that it is the invisible layer of our reality in which the human body's energetic Toroidal Field exists. Ancient spiritual traditions see this plane of existence as an energetically refined spacial dimension. This is the same space in which we have dreams. Our consciousness in this space is more energetically true to ourselves and is one of the reasons why we have no inhibitions in the dream state. Rather, in reality, we generally hold ourselves back from full emotional and physical expression due to how we feel society may react. At times the emotional energies of the Astral Plane and our dreams can become so intense and pronounced that our consciousness actually does physically feel things or even taste things. This usually results in us having such vivid recollections.
For more info regarding these three energies, it is recommended to read more into ancient yogic philosophies. The books mentioned above are perfect starting resources.
