Advanced Hand Mudras

Scientifically proven and recognized by the NIH, Hand Mudras are specific yogic hand formations that create movements of energy within the body and subtle body. Each mudra utilizes the body's nervous system by sending signals to the brain to regulate the body's energy. Mudra is Sanscrit for gesture. These hand gestures benefit us by opening up the energetic channels, the Nadis, in the body. Some examples of Nadis are the nerves, veins, and arteries while others are subtle in form. When the Nadis are opened up they help to energize our chakras and keep us healthy. These non-invasive healing techniques are used by yogis, saints, sages, and spiritual masters and are famously portrayed in paintings and statues of Jesus and Buddha. The applied focused positioning of the hands and light pressure sends signals to the brain in order to complete an energetic task. This happens when mechanoreceptors in our hands send electrical signals through the nervous system to the brain resulting in focused energy applied to specific parts of the body and subtle body.

Practitioners be warned, using these techniques improperly can cause more energetic issues than they clear. Luckily we have compiled an exclusive mudra lexicon that teaches you how to use each specific mudra!
